JUUNOO Interior Walls Adopted by Two Trees Management in Brooklyn for Historic Renovation

Description

During a historic renovation, JUUNOO collaborated with Framework coworking and Two Trees Management to create a unique, privacy-focused workspace featuring 46 Circular privacy pods. These pods, backed by a buy-back warranty to ensure sustainability, offer stunning views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. Framework needed premium, large-footprint office pods that would maximize the use of valuable Manhattan-view real estate while preserving the building’s historic character.
The project required a solution that combined excellent acoustics, high-end aesthetics, and a seamless user experience, all within a tight installation timeline. The pods had to meet the expectations of high-end commercial tenants, while aligning with Two Trees' commitment to sustainability and Framework’s dedication to providing top-tier workspaces.

Impact & Result

Thanks to JUUNOO's modular design, the initial costs for the landlord were lower compared to traditional single-use systems. Additionally, convenience is enhanced with a hassle-free buyback policy at the end of the product's life, ensuring it has a second life and reducing embodied carbon by 80% compared to single-use alternatives.

If you look around you at this moment, you will most likely see 4 interior walls.To create all these walls, 174 million tonnes of CO2 are produced annually in Europe. At the end of their life (± 10 - 30 years) all of these walls become waste. The dominant solution is drywall, with 99% being discarding in landfills they are responsible for 2.350.000 ton/year European waste. JUUNOO turns this challenge into a business opportunity with the patented JUUNOO wall. Adaptable modules and reversible connections create the body of a wall. Recycled panels form the aesthetic skin of the wall. The wall is placed 7 times faster, without dust or technical limitations, at the same price level as a conventional wall. The result is a 30% lower cost of ownership and up to 90% decrease in environmental impact
