Sofia Electric Brewing (SEB) is a microbrewery from Sofia, Bulgaria with a big vision for sustainable business and relationships with partners and customers. For this reason, they contacted us to help them with the transport packaging for their beers. They wanted something that wouldn’t just get their beers safely around the world but also align with their commitment to reducing environmental impact. So, after plenty of testing SEB finally found the perfect sustainable packaging solution with our films. They just started exporting their production and wanted to have a solution before the growth phase - for us that’s what responsibility is all about. Standard transport packaging in this industry typically uses petrol-based LDPE or HDPE shrink film. Our PACK'ON Shrink film has a significantly lower CO₂ footprint. Based on a certified LCA report, our footprint is 2.707 kg CO₂/kg vs. 3.573 for LDPE and 3.073 for HDPE. With production expansion in 2025, using 600 kg of shrink film annually, our partner will save 519.6 kg CO₂/year vs. LDPE and 219.6 kg CO₂/year vs. HDPE, supporting sustainability goals and reducing environmental impact.
Our packaging solutions are made from PLA derived from corn starch, sourced in compliance with the world’s strictest environmental standards. They offer the full performance of plastic film but are compostable, eliminating the need for recycling. Fully compatible with existing industrial packaging machines, they allow for immediate large-scale adoption without changes to production processes or equipment. Our unique formulation enables the production of high-quality, affordable, and durable clear films using standard polymer extruders. A key advantage is our in-house development, testing, and manufacturing, ensuring innovation and quality control. This capability supports rapid and efficient scaling, essential for meeting market demands while maintaining sustainability and affordability.
