After the successful installation of the first connected solar tree in Place Carnot last year, Nevers has introduced a second e-Tree at Port de la Jonction. Located near the harbor master's office, this eco-friendly installation offers several convenient features, including phone and electric bike charging stations, a screen providing tourist information, and access to fresh drinking water. The e-Tree serves as a sustainable, multi-functional hub for both locals and visitors, further enhancing the city’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The e-Tree operates autonomously, harnessing energy from eight solar panels that collectively generate 1,400 watts of power. This enables it to function entirely off-grid, ensuring a continuous supply of electricity for its various features, such as phone and bike charging, and other services.
eTree captures solar energy during the day thanks to its 7 glass solar panels, stores it in batteries at the foot of the eTree and offers a unique quantity of services night & day. The solution is also an extraordinary communication platform for brands and organizations wishing to promote a responsible image through this totally autonomous, sustainable and “zero carbon” innovation. eTree is the first solar tree that offers so many services to the public: • Smartphone charging station; • Filtered and fresh water; • WIFI ; • Night lighting; • Rest area ; • Shadow ; • Inflation or charging station for bikes and electric scooters; • Defibrillator; • Detection and monitoring tools.
