Since 2016, we have collaborated with Microprogram to initiate a project that underwent multiple design optimizations and validation tests. By 2019, the solution was successfully verified and entered mass production, receiving positive feedback from customers. Test results demonstrated that, within the same surface area, our product delivers double the charging capacity compared to competitors. Since 2019, FLEXWAVE has launched 100K energy harvesters to support the smart panel on smart-bikes of the largest sharing-bike system in Taiwan.
The annual power-storage of 100K bikes is 177,600 Wh, which is equal to eliminate 21.6 million AA batteries (1.5V/2000mAh of 1 AA battery) and 2,312,056 kg CO2 eq. Compared to the previous generation relying on wired power and communication mechanisms, this innovation is estimated to reduce deployment costs by a factor of 10, and estimated annual savings of tens of millions of NTD in labor costs associated with battery replacement.
The Flexwave solution can collect scattered light efficiently with no angle limitation. On a sunny day, the power gained is more than an AAA battery. The goal is to gain more power but use smaller sizes than others in order to make a difference. Just like Iron man’s power source Arc reactor, Flexwave is powering IoT devicea. The lifetime is 10 years which enables companies to save on maintenance costs on battery replacement. The solution includes an excellent solar power management system and weather ability, with no maintenance. The product is using the shell of durable PC materials and Flexwave's patented technology. The ultimate goal is to reduce the use of disposal batteries, the fee of maintenance, and the cost of replacement. Furthermore, it provides our environment with more eco-friendly treatment and gives clients better products.
