Description

In 2024, Elle & Vire, a renowned French food brand and a key player within the Savencia Group, took a proactive step toward aligning its digital presence with its broader environmental responsibility goals. As the market leader in cream production in France, Elle & Vire recognized the importance of addressing not only the sustainability of its physical operations but also its digital ecosystem.
As part of its corporate strategy to reduce its overall environmental footprint, the company conducted a comprehensive audit of its website in collaboration with Greenoco, a platform specializing in digital carbon footprint analysis and eco-design. The goal was to better understand the environmental impact of its web infrastructure and identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions associated with its online presence.

Impact & Result

By implementing several optimizations recommended by Greenoco, the brand reduced its website's environmental impact by 54% without altering its design, features, or content.

Solution Spotlight

Digital technology currently consumes over 10% of global electricity and contributes to 6% of worldwide CO2 emissions. Greenoco provides a fast and straightforward way to assess the environmental impact of digital services, such as websites, and offers optimizations that can reduce this impact by an average of 30%—and in some cases, up to 70%. These improvements also enhance the technical performance and commercial effectiveness of the site.
