Crédit Agricole bank is committed to the energy transition. The customer has set up a project to reduce CO2 emissions from its buildings. Reducing the CO2 emissions of its IT equipment was part of this project. After several months of collaboration, the application was deployed on 1,000 workstations.
Benefits of the solution: - 20 to 30% reduction in electricity consumption - a projected 30 to 40 kg of CO2 avoided/workstation/year There are 365 million computers in Europe and 1.5 billion worldwide. The potential for reducing CO2 emissions is therefore enormous. In financial terms, the payback period is almost immediate.
Elow is an application that enables companies and individuals to reduce the electricity consumption and associated CO2 emissions of IT fleets and personal computers. The application also maximizes the lifespan of equipment and facilitates recycling. Last but not least, Elow is also a powerful tool for managing electricity demand, to enhance the flexibility of European power systems.
