The City of Paris implemented the Solution to heat the Butte-aux-Cailles swimming pool in its 13th district in 2016. 6 racks of 8 kW servers, totaling 48 kW of computing power were installed, with each rack connected upstream of the main heating system of the pool through heat exchangers and circulators. The economic model consisted of an investment of 20,000€ excluding VAT from the Paris City Hall to prepare the technical room for the data center installation and the sale of heat produced by the server room to the Paris City Hall for an amount of 80€ including VAT/MWh.

At a time when data consumption is exploding, particularly due to the internet and smartphones, the need for digital infrastructures and data centres is also on the rise. Data centres consume a significant amount of energy in order to run servers and also to cool them down, which generates a phenomenal amount of wasted heat. To meet this challenge, Neutral-IT offers carbon neutrality, sovereignty and resilience to web applications. By distributing the data centres in strategic locations, this solutions is able to reuse up to 96% of its emitted heat to heat buildings, industrial sites or swimming pools. Highly versatile, this solution can be customized for small, medium and large enterprises.
