The VCS voltage stabilizer is delivering approximately 15% savings on electricity consumption for Corbier College in Collombey-Muraz, while also contributing to a longer lifespan for the school's electrical equipment. In a testimonial given to the local TV9 channel in April 2024, Mrs. Daphné Roh, the college’s sustainability officer, expressed her satisfaction with the performance of the VCS system and highlighted its positive impact on the institution's energy efficiency efforts.
The installation resulted in savings of 14 tons of CO₂ and 1,110,000 kWh, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 50 households, with a payback time of just 3.2 years.
The voltage of the electrical power provided by utilities fluctuates at the mains – typically in Europe, between 207 and 253 Volts. Although it does not affect the functionality of the electric loads – designed to work within this range – it affects the electricity consumption. Voltcontrol products stabilize the voltage around 207V, which saves energy and increases the lifetime of electrical devices. The device is connected to a server to record the energy consumption and savings of each building. This platform may also host and transmit information from other sensors related to all energy sources in a building (heat, air conditioning, water, gas, etc.). The VCS voltage stabilization & reduction technology allows clients to save 10-15% on their building's electricity bills and another 20-30% on global building maintenance costs thanks to a longer lifespan of light bulbs, electrical devices & engines. A lower electricity consumption coupled with a longer lifecycle of light bulbs and electrical devices & engines translates into much lower CO2 emissions and lower use of raw materials and transportation as well as less waste. An AI system is currently developed to analyze the consumption data to identify potential problems and send alarms to the client.
