Identification

The patented technology is an effective solution to some of the most challenging water treatment problems. It generates value in the energy-water-waste nexus by utilizing low grade waste heat for its robust and efficient thermal separation process.

The E-METS solution is invented through the implementation of innovative process engineering that revolves around state-of-the-art flow boiling/cooling technologies conventionally deployed in nuclear power plants. The E-METS concept is the first of its kind being invented and implemented for thermally driven water separation via evaporation/condensation.
