Soudal developed a new water based grab adhesive that is made out of 82% recycled raw materials, of which 35% bio based, and packed in a PE cartridge produced out of 80% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) material. This circular alternative to current water based grab adhesives has the same performance characteristics as current grab adhesives and is positioned at the same price level. An easy and affordable way for DIY-ers to go for a circular solution for their home project.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Same performance as the currently sold grab adhesives whilst using 82% recycled material in a 80% PCR cartridge
  • Uses 81.4g CO2 less than the current cartridge of similar grab adhesives
  • Using one ton of non-virgin bio-based raw material can save up to 7000L of water
  • 82% of raw material used is recycled, of which 35% bio based and up to 80% of plastic for packaging is made of PCR material
  • If this solution takes 40% of the French DIY Grab Adhesives market, this would mean a reduction of around 325 tonnes CO2
