AWA ®, the Smart Solar Energy Station ® is an individual, harmless, intuitive fully integrated all-in-one solution. Despite having one of the World's Largest Wireless Energy Networks, the Sun, with a 99.999% network coverage, more than 80% of Africa's territory is not served by any electricity grid network. More than 65% of the population lives in rural areas and only a fraction of this population currently uses a generator to power basic household equipment, often limited to lighting, ventilation and sometimes a television set. Families have no electricity to run water pumps to have access to safe water or refrigerators to store indispensable vaccines and medicines. To tackle this challenge, users simply have to remove the AWA® from the box and connect the AWA® device either to the Planet Plug® certified household appliance or directly to the electricity circuit-breaker panel to provide safe direct current (DC) power throughout the house. The AWA® enables Direct-Current full-size household appliances such as fridges or freezers to run directly from the harmless DC energy produced by solar panels, eliminating the need for a costly, troublesome and inefficient inverter.
