To transform food, textile, chemical and beverage industries industry to run on solar thermal instead of fossil fuels, a regional Robotic Production Line will mass-produce 100 000 m2 (70 MW) of the T160 parabolic solar concentrating collector every year. The collectors will be mounted next to industries and replace fossil fuel. Thanks to the local production, the solar collectors can be locally built and installed and locally financed. This will result in solar thermal being cheaper than heat from oil and gas and in some sunny places even cheaper than coal and waste. After 10 years of full production, the fields of solar collectors built with the production line will save 120 000 tons of CO2 annually, replacing natural gas.

  • The Robotic Production Line will mass-produce solar collectors for fields that heat industries or cities. The heat produced is sold to a lower cost than it would cost to burn fossil fuel
  • With 3-6 month energy pay-back, the Absolicon T160 Solar Concentrator is one of the best ways to reduce CO2 emissions
  • As the solar heat directly replaces the combustion of fuels, CO2 emissions are reduced, and air quality is improved
  • A local Robotic Production Line can make the high quality solar concentrators with costs low enough to compete with oil and gas.
  • In some applications, solar thermal can replace burning firewood from natural forests or plantations. Reducing the extraction of biomass for combustion is helping biodiversity.
  • Textile industry is often burning coal to heat the dying processes. To produce one kg of cloth, two kg of coal is burnt. Reducing the need to burn fossil fuel by making the heat and steam with solar concentrators reduces air pollution
