UseDem - Eliminating denim textile waste through upcycling
UseDem gives materials a chance to live again. By reusing and reshaping old jeans, UseDem fights the textile industry’s pollution. It sources used jeans from individuals, brands and event discarded jeans or fabric from factories and then upcycle them into unique, beautiful and marketable products. Bags and accessories are made in partnership with Home Sweet Home, who operate their factory on the outskirts of Shanghai. They are also a not-for profit organisation which provides training and employment for Chinese people with special needs or disabilities. By bringing new life to old materials, this solution is helping to reduce waste and emissions.
A solution that focuses on facilitating the circular economy process within the manufacturing and construction sector.
