Rype Office - Using the circular economy to create sustainable and low-cost offices

The conventional process of buying new furniture and dumping it after its first use means that, over a commercial building's 40 year lifetime, furniture is the single biggest source of emissions above operational energy and building materials, accounting for 30% of a commercial building's total carbon footprint.

Rype Office remanufactures high-quality unwanted furniture to as-new condition using quality controlled engineering processes. The resulting items are less than half of the list price with an 80% reduced environmental footprint. This solution also creates sustainable new furniture from waste materials, such as a range of board room tables made from post-consumer waste plastic. Rype Office's free award-winning design service integrates all furniture along with a wide range of fantastic circular products into beautiful, productive and healthy offices.
