RE-CREATE - Taking green construction towards a circular reality, introducing and scaling the highest quality sustainable green building materials

The building sector is one of the largest contributors to climate change. The RE-CREATE Solution from CRIATERRA aims to introduce innovative materials and production technologies in the industry of construction. This unique technology enables a wide range of high performance pre-cast construction products, such as blocks and tiles, produced in clean and sustainable methods. RE-CREATE materials and products are advanced solutions which meet all relevant construction standards with a fraction of the environmental imprint and as much as 90% energy savings. This is achieved with by using innovative materials and methods and a complete redesign of the production process. This process maintains the chemical properties of the raw materials, allowing them to be fully recyclable and perform within a circular economy.

Key features

  • 6% of the environmental footprint compared to ceramic tiles or cement
  • Each masonry block can save 1.2kg CO2 compared to mainstream masonry blocks
  • An office project with 10,000 square meters of built wall would save 130 tonnes of CO2 equivalent
  • 90% energy savings compared to ceramics
  • 70% upcycled materials used
  • 100% recyclable, designed to maintain a fully circular economy

Profitability

  • 600% thermal insulation compared to cement, helping to reduce energy bills
  • Using low energy, local sourcing and using waste products for materials results in affordable prices targeted at €20-40/m2
