METHAVOS - Biogas, electricity and green fertilizer produced in turnkey dry methanization plant to recover bio-wastes from industry, farm and large urban areas

The METHAVOS dry methanization patented solution both produce biogas and green fertilizers as nitrogenous compost. Fermentable bio-waste comes from urban areas, incenting households to sort, participate in the environment protection and promote renewable energies.

METHAVOS is fitted to reduce either waste incineration, usually more expensive and polluting, or underground burial. METHAVOS offers a unique alternative to other technologies by generating lower operating expenses and higher long-term profitability. The process is designed around the Zero odor nuisance objective, and the biogas resulting from anaerobic digestion can be used directly on cogeneration units (simultaneous heat and electricity production) or be used as fuel for vehicles running on gas, or even be injected into the city gas network. METHAVOS helps public authorities committed to respecting European regulations and objectives to achieve their growing needs for bio-waste treatment and recovery.

Key features

  • One tonne of bio-waste is equivalent to the amount of energy contained in 70 liters of diesel. In other words, with 2 salads (1 kg) it is possible to travel the equivalent of 1.5 km with a vehicle consuming on average 5 liters per 100 km
  • 741 million European inhabitants each producing 100 kg of bio-waste per a year
  • O% water added in the anaerobic digestion process because that already contained in the bio-waste is sufficient
  • In a standard 20000 tonnes/year capacity plant, the saved carbon footprint by dry methanization, for the same energy production is about 3000 tonnes


  • Methanizing bio-waste costs 40% less and offers an ecological alternative to incineration that costs 110€/ton and remains an highly carbon providing technology
  • The benefit is positive from the first year and considering the amortization over 15 years of investments, the breakeven point reached at the end of the first 6 years
