Infrastructure Impact Fund - Integration of sustainability and resilience into Investment Management when investing in infrastructure design and development in emerging markets
The solution is the first Infrastructure Fund designed along with the principles of Impact Investing. It was developed with the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB) and uses an Environmental & Social Management System called the SuRe® – The Standard for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure. SuRe® is a global voluntary standard which integrates Sustainability and Resilience aspects into Infrastructure development and upgrades. With this evaluation, the Infrastructure Impact Fund ensure that the supported infrastructure projects follow Good International Industry Practice (GIIP) requirements in terms of Sustainability and Resilience in Infrastructure. The SuRe® Standard is science and evidence-based, developed through a rigorous stakeholder process and applied to the entire project portfolio.
