Identification
The M.A.P® technology aims to optimize the performance and longevity of lithium-ion batteries. Based on more than ten years of research within the CEA laboratory, the technology focuses on preserving batteries throughout their lifetimes, in accordance with their use and environment. MAP® stands for Measure, Act and Predict. The Solution measures the actual State-of-Health (SoH) during its use, thereby always guaranteeing its reliability and capacity. It then acts by giving customized and dynamic charging laws based on the battery’s health, environment, and use in order to increase its lifetime by up to 100%. Finally, it predicts the battery remaining useful life according to its use and the aging mechanisms it faces. The data collection and process throughout the battery lifetime enables to eventually guide toward the most suitable second life.
