Alexandra Barraquand

    Trained as a physicist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne and specialised in Environmental Technologies and Energy Policy at Imperial College London, Alexandra started at Solar Impulse working on content creation to popularise the technological innovations onboard the first solar-powered airplane. From 2017 to 2019 she led the efforts in building the Solar Impulse label methodology to select 1000 solutions on their environmental and economic performances and headed the team ensuring the labelling process integrity. In 2020, she piloted a mission to develop the Foundation’s footprint and visibility in the USA, working from Washington DC. In 2021, Alexandra has been focusing on the creation of the Solutions Explorer’s concept, the search engine for individuals, businesses, and public entities to browse the Solar Impulse portfolio of +1300 labelled solutions and find the right technologies that fit their needs.
