The Waterpod by I-Drop focuses on providing solutions to two global issues - access to affordable, safe drinking water and preventing single-use plastic waste from pre-bottled water. I-Drop designs, builds and installs self-service purified drinking water refill dispensers called Waterpods for installation in grocery stores, hospitality and public spaces. The solution targets areas with limited access to clean drinking water where consumers need or want an affordable alternative to bottled water. The solution is an innovative product and business model, enabled through a custom-built IOT monitoring and control platform, designed to be as efficient and affordable as possible, expanding the market to consumers who could not previously afford a safe drinking water alternative and enabling those who already purchase bottled water to easily switch.
