Due to the poor quality of public transport in suburbs, over 130 million Europeans, 120 million North Americans and 8 million Australians depend on a car to go to work, making private cars the largest source of CO2 emissions. SuburVAN is a door-to-rail autonomous electric van that picks up suburban commuters close to their home and takes them to a commuter railway station in less than 10 minutes so that they can continue their trip towards city centers on a suburban train. Combined with commuter railways, SuburVAN autonomous electric minivans can provide the fastest commute in metropolitan areas and small and mid-size cities, while reducing CO2 emissions coming from cars by 99%. Using the vans is completely contactless, and they are automatically disinfected after every trip.
