The Potamoi is a device that cuts off the flow of a shower at a pre-defined quantity. It can be fitted between the shower head and the tap in less than ten minutes by anyone. No electricians or plumbers are necessary and no drilling the walls. Via a smartphone or tablet, the Potamoi can be set to 'free-flow' to discover how much water you use, or it can be set to limit usage. The administrator sets maximum limits for time and quantity of water on the web application. During the shower, the Potamoi screen gives a warning when the limit is about to be reached. A small reserve of water is made available, if needed, to finish showering or to rinse the shower tray. The system is then blocked for a predefined time (3 minutes, for example), to discourage people from taking two consecutive showers . All shower data : time of shower, quantity of water used etc is stored on a web-based app and can be consulted at any time by the home administrator.
