Our solution provides time-effective and safe materials to restore works of art. The time-effectiveness and safety of our approach enables the feasible restoration of large collections worldwide, which are common issues with traditional materials, allowing their transfer to future generations. In other words, our solution is a safe and time-effective way to guarantee the preservation of our Cultural Heritage, with high socio-economic benefits and improved resilience of our society. Our solution uses non-toxic gels or biopolymers, aqueous-based cleaning fluids and biodegradable surfactants, as opposed to traditional petroleum-based cleaning solvents (hexane, mineral spirits). Therefore, our products have enhanced eco-friendliness vs. mainstream alternatives, and easily used by end-users in restoration SMEs/museums/collections. We provide continuous guidance service and training to familiarize stakeholders with these innovative solutions.

The Environmental Benefits

  • High time-effectiveness (gains result in minutes/hours vs. weeks/months of traditional materials)
  • No direct CO2 emission
  • E-factors close to zero

The Financial Benefits

  • Saves up to 50% of overall restoration costs
  • Only 1-3% reduction of useful exhibition time (e.g. over 1 month) of an artifact in need of restoration
