story image

Description

We are conducting a vehicle trial with the Port de Plaisance de La Rochelle (La Rochelle Harbor), a company that is right in our target market: local, with a fleet of vehicles, and with a mission to reduce its carbon footprint, with daily short trips. This is a multi-phase trial. The first phase took place in 2022, where we had different teams at the port (management team, technical team) test the prototype vehicle to gather various feedback for advancing the design: usage, ergonomics, needs, etc. Next, we are setting up a more regular testing phase: we will lend them the vehicle one day per week for 2 months to validate that the vehicle meets their needs and to gather feedback on ergonomics, driving experience, battery charging usage, trunk loading, etc. Finally, the last phase will involve a longer-term rental of the vehicle to move towards purchasing one or more vehicles once it is approved.

Impact & Result

We don't have the results yet but we plan to achieve these objectives:
- reduce the carbon footprint of the company by 1 Tonne COeq per year per car replaced
- reduce the TCO (total cost of ownership) by 3
