We collaborated with Groupe Caisse des Dépôts on a pilot project after winning the Banque des Territoires' "Frugal AI Demonstrators for Ecological Transition in Territories" call for projects. Our solution enables clients to participate in demand response programs by temporarily reducing electricity consumption during peak periods, complementing their existing energy management systems. Last winter, we conducted demand response tests in preparation for a full deployment next winter. The pilot, spanning three sites and a total area of 35,000 m², demonstrated how our solution leverages building energy flexibility to help reduce carbon footprints while exploring revenue opportunities through electrical flexibility.
The pilot project was economically successful, generating €30,000 in demand response revenues across three sites. At one site, a demand response capacity of 800 kW over 1 to 3 hours resulted in energy savings exceeding 1 MWh. This corresponds to avoiding approximately 0.95 tons of CO2 emissions if replacing coal-fired power generation.
Tilt is an innovative energy flexibility platform that helps buildings use electricity more intelligently and sustainably. Thanks to our advanced AI-based algorithms, we accurately predict electricity consumption, allowing us to anticipate peaks and shift consumption over time to relieve the grid. By connecting various equipment such as building management systems, electric vehicle charging stations or behind-the-meter batteries, we enable our clients to actively contribute to the transition towards cleaner, more flexible energy, by avoiding reliance on fossil fuels during peak hours. Our platform is easy to integrate, with no additional costs, and unlocks additional revenue from the first year while reducing their carbon footprint.
