Samunnati Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a tech-centric open agri network of affiliated smallholders, farmer collectives, and larger players. It was scouting a one-stop technological solution to optimise farming for all its farmers. Saving a farmer’s efforts and input costs while maximising crop yield and quality were the key attention areas. The Fasal IoT system made entry to three farms headed by three different farmers under Samunnati Agri Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as a pilot. Fasal Impact- Low irrigation cycles, savings in labour & chemicals with visible improvement in quality, size, shape and taste of produce. Pest disease monitoring helped save upto 30% cost in chemicals and accurate advanced weather forecast helped avoiding weather induced damage.
Pomegranate cultivation achieves significant cost savings, including ₹50,000 per acre in labor, ₹5,000 per acre in fertilizer, and a reduction of three irrigation cycles. For grapes, water usage is reduced by 5,000 liters, fertilizer application decreases by 30%, and yield increases by 5 tonnes. In tomato farming, ₹4,000 per acre is saved on labor, 10,000 liters of water are conserved, ₹15,000 per acre is saved on fertilizers, ₹10,000 per acre on pesticides, and the yield rises by 4 tonnes.
