In Suzhou, China, Mr. Lai Qingbo renovated his 150 m² apartment using Wallrus innovative interior decorative insulation panels to transform it into a low-energy passive home. After coordinating with local partners and technical teams, the installation began in early July. The project aimed to significantly improve thermal comfort while reducing energy consumption for heating and cooling by 60%. The panels were installed on interior walls, combining high insulation performance with aesthetic design.
Wallrus transformed a 150 m² apartment into Suzhou’s first passive home using its affordable interior insulation panels. Energy consumption dropped by 60% (10,800 kWh/year), avoiding 5.9 t CO₂ annually. With yearly savings of €1,080, the low installation cost allows a fast payback in 2–4 years, making it both an ecological and economic success.
