Description

Stinky Socks is a brand driven by creativity, performance, and authenticity, rooted deeply in snowboarding, skateboarding, and street culture. Their products are designed for those who live boldly and move with purpose - and they bring that same energy to how they do business. While style and functionality are at their core, Stinky Socks takes sustainability seriously. When it was time to rethink their packaging, they looked for a solution that wouldn't just protect their socks, but also reflect their commitment to the planet. That's where we came in. Stinky Socks needed a shipping packaging solution that could handle global delivery without compromising their values. After testing and refinement, our biodegradable film met the challenge - delivering performance, protection, and drastically lower emissions. Now, Stinky Socks ships their products around the world in a way that aligns with their values: fearless, functional, and forward-thinking.

Impact & Result

According to a certified life cycle assessment, our film emits just 2.707 kg of CO₂ per kg, compared to 3.573 for LDPE and 3.073 for HDPE. Stinky Socks uses around 100 kg of courier bag film per year and they're already cutting down their emissions by 86.6 kg of CO₂ compared to LDPE, and 36.6 kg compared to HDPE.End-of-life impact? Even at its worst (100% landfill), PACK'ON Shrink still holds its own at 1.345 kg CO₂ composting slashes emissions down to -0.072 kg CO₂ - yes, negative emissions!

Solution Spotlight

Our packaging solutions are made from PLA derived from corn starch, sourced in compliance with the world’s strictest environmental standards. They offer the full performance of plastic film but are compostable, eliminating the need for recycling. Fully compatible with existing industrial packaging machines, they allow for immediate large-scale adoption without changes to production processes or equipment. Our unique formulation enables the production of high-quality, affordable, and durable clear films using standard polymer extruders. A key advantage is our in-house development, testing, and manufacturing, ensuring innovation and quality control. This capability supports rapid and efficient scaling, essential for meeting market demands while maintaining sustainability and affordability.
