story image

Description

Roskilde uses our digital platform to map and manage reusable materials from public renovation and demolition projects. By creating an overview of material flows early in the process, the municipality can repurpose valuable materials—such as doors, lighting, and facade elements—across new building projects, reducing CO₂ emissions and procurement costs. The platform also supports Roskilde in meeting upcoming LCA and selective demolition regulations, while improving coordination across departments and increasing transparency in municipal reuse efforts.

Impact & Result

Environmental Impact: In one project this year, Roskilde Municipality saved 180 tons of CO₂ by reusing building materials from a demolition project. Economic Impact: 85% of the materials were reused at almost no cost, avoiding expenses for both new materials and waste handling.

Solution Spotlight

Our solution addresses the challenge of low reuse rates in construction by offering a digital platform that maps and matches reusable materials from demolition, renovation, and industrial waste streams with new building projects. We help property owners, municipalities, and developers identify valuable materials early, ensure compliance with regulations , and enable design teams and contractors to integrate reclaimed materials at scale.
