story image

Description

The project starting in May 2025 at Jean-Drapeau park is a continuation of the proof of concept did on the site in August 2024. The objective of this project is to deploy 18 EcoSense sensors throughout the park to collect real-time data on air quality. The data empower the park executive team during their environmental pivot. Our solution will guide the urban transformation of the park to optimally increase the environmental performances of the solution.

Impact & Result

From the environmental point of view, the project will reduce health risks for visitors and employees. From the economic point of view, the project will help the park to optimally spend to transform urban spaces to have the more environmental benefits. By helping the local biodiversity and by increasing the visitors' comfort in the park, it is expected our solution will increase the number of visitors annually.

Solution Spotlight

Our environmental sensors measure air quality and weather parameters to help identify heat islands and bad air quality areas in urban spaces. The data is then used to target specific intervention zones and to automatically suggest avenues for improvement. The urban planning suggestions include the health benefits on the population to empower cities and governments in their transformation to be more resilient to climate changes.
