story image

Description

In 2025, Raincatcher® was implemented in Türkiye through large-scale demonstrations addressing severe drought conditions. In Konya, a maize trial conducted with TİGEM, the national research agency, achieved −39 % irrigation water, +17 % yield, and +91 % improvement in Water Productivity, validated under extreme temperatures reaching 45 °C.
Applied beneath roots using patented French injection tools, Raincatcher® ensures precise placement, zero surface loss, and long-lasting soil benefits, demonstrating its potential to transform agriculture in arid regions.

Impact & Result

Raincatcher® boosts water efficiency and crop resilience under drought. In Konya (maize, TİGEM 2025), irrigation fell 39%, yield rose 17%, and Water Productivity +91% (11.9→22.8 kg/m³), saving ≈1.9 M L water/ha and ≈0.6 t CO₂eq/ha from reduced pumping.

Solution Spotlight

The Solution offers average water-savings of 60 to 80%, and generate at the same time yield gains by suppressing water-stresses. For agriculture or forestry uses, the Solution is made of combinable interconnected components which can also be uses independently, as a super-hydro-retaining fertiliser, an IT system (connects soils humidity sensors, weather stations, satellite mapping data...) related to a dedicated algorithm to optimise a watering at its best and an engineering unit creating crop-type specialised application tools. All resulting at doing much more with much less, offering significant water preservation, food resiliency and large-scale re-greening possibilities.
