Marriott Sopot Resort & Spa Hotel

Sopot Marriott was built in 2012, and since then various technical refurbishments have been completed. Therefore, it can be considered a modern building.
What kind of problems did they face there? In fact, in a modern hotel where significant investments have been made to ensure guest satisfaction and a strong professional team has been hired, one would not expect major issues, just the regular day-to-day operations. No special problems! On the contrary, new technologies create many opportunities.
The launch process of the R8 Jenny was very quick. After establishing the remote connection between the BMS and our server, it took only two weeks to integrate all the necessary datapoints from the HVAC system and guest rooms with our software. Following that, an additional four weeks were dedicated to running a Building Performance Audit to uncover hidden technical faults, anomalies, and indoor climate-related issues. Once this was completed, we fully launched the R8 Jenny service, and the energy savings immediately began to materialize.

R8 Jenny is an AI-powered SaaS on top of commercial real estate’s automation systems. It brings energy savings (26% average) and CO2 reduction, better indoor climate comfort (90+%), longer life-span of HVAC equipment with an aFDD module (automated fault detection and diagnostics) and ESG reporting. An extra feature, R8 Virtual Power Plan, enables CRE to support balancing the electricity grid with additional revenue earnings from that.
