LBX Ways Kherbawy Faem
Kafr Al-Sheikh
The LBX Ways Kherbawy Farm project in Kafr Al-Shiekh, Egypt, implemented by NoorNation, showcases the transformative potential of renewable energy in agriculture. Conducted in partnership with LBX Ways and Mr. Ahmed Al Marsafawy, the project involved deploying a 24.75 kWp LifeBox solar PV system to power a 25 hp pump for irrigating 23 acres of farmland using drip irrigation. This initiative aimed to enhance agricultural productivity, reduce operational costs, and promote environmental sustainability by leveraging renewable energy technologies. The LifeBox system offers several advantages, including a plug & play design for rapid installation and operation, significant land efficiency, durability against extreme weather conditions, remote monitoring and control capabilities for optimal performance, customizability to meet various needs, financial accessibility through competitive pricing and flexible payment plans, and comprehensive support with maintenance services and a green warranty.
The LifeBox system has made a significant impact, mitigating 24 tons of CO2 emissions and contributing to environmental preservation. It saved 126.75 square meters of land, promoting efficient land use and reducing ecological impact. The project also generated cost savings of EGP 91,806.00, enhancing the farm's economic resilience. By powering a reliable irrigation system, LifeBox improved agricultural productivity, benefiting 21 local farmers with increased crop yields, profitability, and livelihoods.
The Solution provides a product, which is a LifeBox unit that works on solar energy and has multiple functions to produce electricity or desalinate water (or both) to operate different applications in the agricultural sector, such as operating solar-powered irrigation pumps, desalination (and purification) of well water, and providing electricity for lighting in rest areas. This means that the same unit and the same solar panels can be used to operate irrigation pumps and desalinate or purify well water in case of the need for drinking water for livestock or poultry or general or drinking use.
