Their efforts have reached a new milestone with the recent installation of an advanced automated waste-sorting machine at the Biocirculo facility in Bogotá. This cutting-edge technology is designed to enhance the efficiency and precision of PET recycling, reinforcing sustainable waste management practices. Mr. Moris Finvarb, the President of Biocirculo, has expressed his strong appreciation for the solution, commending its immediate impact, remarkable speed, and impressive accuracy since its implementation.
"Once the machine was installed, final product quality was highly improved and productivity of our PET line increased by 35%.” This is the most recent example of Pellenc ST’s continued commercial deployment of their optimized recycling process.
Combining infrared, visible spectroscopy and induction, Pellenc ST separates complex materials that could not otherwise be identified by the human eye and enables considerable amounts of recyclable materials to be diverted from non-sustainable end-points such as landfills, energy recovery or exports to countries with lower standards. The automated high-speed conveyor belt combined with real-time software treatment enable processing of large volumes of waste at rates unachievable by conventional picking methods.
