Description

At the İSKİ Ataköy Advanced Biological Treatment Plant, Biomix implemented its high-efficiency agitator propeller in the biophosphorus ponds to enhance mixing performance while reducing energy consumption. The previous system faced challenges such as excessive energy use, slow mixing, and sediment buildup at the bottom of the ponds, which negatively impacted overall treatment efficiency. With the integration of Biomix’s next-generation propeller technology, the plant achieved approximately 30% higher mixing efficiency and 30% lower energy consumption compared to the existing system. The new solution also delivered faster and more uniform mixing, eliminated bottom sediment accumulation, and maintained high performance even under dense sludge conditions. Real-world test results demonstrated that Biomix significantly improved process efficiency while reducing operational costs and environmental impact.

Impact & Result

Biomix achieved ~30% energy savings at İSKİ Ataköy, reducing CO2 emissions and improving sludge mixing efficiency.
