Description

Solar A/S, one of Denmark’s largest solar equipment wholesalers, started to use NetHire’s service in 2020. By signing an open-ended contract, with a 24-month termination, their customers get access to the NetHire Community of 6,300 pieces of equipment. It allows their customers to book equipment and to have it delivered on site in an hour (average). After use, the user has to order a pick-up to return the equipment. It allows savings in transport time, as the delivery and pickup are done by a professional transporter who optimizes the transport, instead of single workmen driving forth and back. As the worksman stays onsite, he is 15% more productive.

Impact & Result

  • Shared access to 6,300 pieces of equipment reduces the need for individual ownership, decreasing resource extraction and manufacturing emissions.
  • Workers staying onsite during equipment delivery and pickup results in a 15% productivity boost.
  • The NetHire service facilitates resource sharing among 2,500 users, maximizing equipment usage efficiency.

Solution Spotlight

The construction sector faces large challenges in reducing emissions and increasing sustainability. NetHire aims to reduce CO2 emissions by reusing old construction materials for the production of new stock. NetHire boosts the construction industry's environmental efforts by being a leading figure in the circular and sharing economy. Through this Solution waste is considered as a resource, which should primarily be recyclable directly for the same purpose, or recycled in new products for other purposes.
