Description

One of our first customer was GINAF TRUCKS NEDERLAND B.V. in the Netherlands, albeit not a representative one, but one of the few that we are allowed to name due to the existing NDAs. Since 2014, we have delivered more than 65'000 MOBILE inverter and DC/DC converters to more than 150 customers worldwide for auxilliary applications in electric commercial vehicles. MOBILE Drive Control Units (DCU) and Power Supply Units (PSU) are used in buses, trucks, work machines and trains for ventilation, air compression, air conditioning, stearing pumps and 12V / 24V power supply all over the world. They were designed specifically to meet the high requirements of commercial vehicles and have proven their high robustness and outstanding quality over the past 10 years.

Impact & Result

The most important contribution of our MOBILE products is that they are part of accelerating the transition from diesel-powered to electric commercial vehicles. The most suitable variants can be selected from a range of electrical auxiliary units, meaning that only the power which is required is charged for. The ability to parameterize makes it possible to adapt the devices easily and quickly to the various applications and ensure that they work reliably throughout the vehicle's working life.

Solution Spotlight

In electric and hybrid-driven commercial vehicles, several auxiliary applications have to be electrified. The MOBILE construction kit consists of a family of fully automotive-qualified inverters and DC/DC converters. These MOBILE units can be flexibly adapted to your application in the shortest time and, thanks to their high power density and their sophisticated interfaces, offer a sustainable solution for air conditioning systems, pumps, fans and power supplies in commercial vehicles. The unique modular design ensures that a maximum number of applications can be realized with a minimum of variants and that suitable spare parts can be supplied over decades. In a package size of just 355 x 310 x 85 mm, double inverters up to 2 x 60 kWp or DC/DC converters with 14V or 28V and 250A continuous current as well as a combination of an inverter and a 250A DC/DC converter in the same housing up to 848V are available from an ongoing series production.
