Lac-des-Rouges-Truites
For the construction of this detached house in the town of Lac-des-Rouges-Truites, the company Roch, specializing in wood construction, has made its work in «beams-posts». This constructive mode consists in erecting a grid with glulam posts with strong sections spaced from 2.5 to 5 m, connected by beams. The ambition was to use local resources by promoting short circuits and the use of natural and bio-based materials. In this process, ROCH implemented ThermaSoft® natura insulation, made from bio-sourced and recycled plant fibers, for the insulation of intermediate partitions and floors.

All the wood used in the construction have a origin of the Jura woods. The insulation used in the house is made of bio-sourced and recycled wood wool, wood fibre and natural plant fibres.

Knauf ThermaSoft® natura is composed of 3 bio-based plant fibres: COTTON from the textile industry, JUTE from food bag recycling, and FLAX from local agriculture. This assembly gives it unique performance: thermal comfort summer/ winter, natural acoustic performance and remarkable installation comfort.
