A client in Soria, Spain, used Thermogreen XPS to renovate a 125 m2 individual house. The works mainly concerned the insulation of façade with a 12 cm extruded polystyrene board (ETICS system), and insulating the roof with a 20 cm XPS board. This resulted in a reduction in heating energy consumption of more than 50% compared to the previous winter. By installing Thermogreen XPS, CO2 emissions have been reduced by 80% compared with XPS traditional board.
Thermogreen XPS offers significant environmental and economic benefits. It achieves a reduction of 2,925 kg CO₂e emissions compared to traditional XPS products and can lower heating energy needs by up to 50%. Additionally, Thermogreen XPS is fully recyclable, contributing to sustainable building practices. From an economic perspective, it delivers a payback period of less than two years and results in a 950€ annual savings on heating bills - a 60% reduction compared to the previous year.
