After a first year by testing two solutions on pilot sites, Martigues decided to implement Smart Watering solution on all their greenspace. Martigues became the first city in France which decided to implement a smart watering solution throughout the city. The reasons to choose Greencityzen vs another are mainly the level of water savings (50% vs 10%), the user-friendly interface of the application and the cybersecurity of the solution. In addition the level of service, particularly agronomic support, makes a great difference. With these water savings and the subsidy they get from the governement, the ROI of the project is aroud 1.5 year.
Minimum water savings thanks to smart watering are 350.000 m3 per year. In addition, savings are done thanks to leak detection and fixing: The first detected leak represented a volume of 2 olympic swimming pools per year.
Hummbox is a solution for intelligent watering and monitoring of the root activity of vegetation, observable in a very ergonomic web application, as well as adapted agronomic advice. The Hummbox solution allows you to implement automated agronomic watering in green spaces, sports fields, cultivated land as well as on green roofs and street trees, it allows you to achieve unprecedented water savings. It allows to have a view of the plantations and the hydraulic network, automatically control irrigation in an agronomic mode with drying cycles, ensure maintenance and monitor interventions and supervise the network, all sensors & plantations. All of this information makes it possible to lead a process of continuous improvement on watering practices, water savings and reduction of maintenance travels. The technical solution has been proven in many contexts and is robust, including long battery life.
