The City of Paris was looking for solutions to reduce the waste associated with its Suchet stadium construction site in the 16th arrondissement. After characterizing the land upstream of the experiment, the Solution allowed the re-use of 860 m3 of soil in land development projects in Joinville le Pont and Villeneuve le Comte (lle-de-France) out of the 2,000 m3 potential of the site.
The solution results in a 5% reduction in soil treatment costs, translating to a savings of EUR 1 per cubic meter. This reduction helps lower overall project expenses while maintaining environmental standards.
Environmental challenges are changing the management of construction and demolition sites. The construction industry is both the largest waste producer, and the largest non-renewable resources consumer in Europe. The combination of onsite time pressure, tight budget and opacity of the off-site management supply chain leads to great inefficiency in terms of resources and waste management. To convert this vicious circle into a virtuous one, Hesus Store provides a solution to make this sector more transparent and to optimise operations within construction companies.
