We had the immense pleasure of collaborating with the Association des Espèces Parmi'Lyon on an exciting revegetation project at the Quai Tilsitt in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon. A project focused on ecology and shared values that are close to our hearts! As part of this project, we transported 104 tons (70 big bags) of pebbles and topsoil by water, thereby reducing the environmental impact of transportation. Our contribution avoided the need for truck transport, crane rental, and the handling of big bags for loading. Thanks to three exceptionally sunny days, we were able to maximize the energy efficiency of our equipment powered by solar panels. We were very satisfied with these 100% eco-friendly days, as when we returned to the Port of Lyon, we still had 45% charge left in our batteries after more than 10 hours of daily work! One aspect that particularly stood out was the impressive silence of our electric boat.
A total of 104 tons of goods were delivered to the construction site, bypassing the need for trucks in the city, which would have produced 113.2 kg of CO2 emissions over an 11 km distance from the Port of Lyon. We used our forklift to load these large bags onto the boat, transporting them directly to the quay at the construction site. Once there, the bags were handled and emptied using our electric crane to supply the construction site.
ECOFLUV is an urban logistics company specializing in the transport of goods by electric boat, with a delivery capacity of up to 175 tons per shipment, equivalent to five 33-ton semi-trailers. The goods can be packaged in various forms, including pallets, big bags or other suitable formats. The boat can also transport bulkier items, offering great flexibility for different types of products and goods. The loading time is 2 minutes per pallet using ramps and a forklift, and 4 min per pallet using a crane and/or a stacker. Deliveries are made at carefully selected docking points near areas with high road traffic congestion. We collaborates with partners who use environmentally friendly vehicles to ensure the final distribution of goods in the city.
