Description

Fieldless chose Skytree’s Cumulus system to play a key role in its True North Berries growth project, undertaken in partnership with the Symbiosis Lab at the University of Ottawa. This initiative is part of the prestigious Homegrown Innovation Challenge, which has, over the past six months, brought together innovators to design and deliver a market-ready solution for reliably, sustainably, and competitively producing berries out of season and at scale in Canada.

Impact & Result

Now in phase two of the Innovation Challenge, Skytree’s Cumulus system provides up to 4.3 tonnes of CO2 annually at 90-99.99% purity, seamlessly integrating with the research farm’s CO2 dosing system to enhance strawberry yields. This innovative unit ensures a steady CO2 supply, optimizing crop productivity while reducing operational costs for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) businesses.

Solution Spotlight

Ersa, creates an indoor air bubble, facilitating healthier cabin air and longer external air filter lifetimes by reducing outdoor air pollution introduced into the car cabin by up to 80%. Multi-pass HVAC filtration is enabled, resulting in x10 higher air filtration efficiency and removing dangerous gases such as NOx & SOx. The enhanced air recirculation significantly reduces the car’s Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning power demands and increases electric vehicle range by up to 20% in cold weather.
