Hympulsion, a company that produces and distributes green hydrogen, wanted to be the first hydrogen valley in Europe to reduce transport carbon footprint. They built a hydrogen ecosystem with 20 hydrogen charging stations and 1,000 vehicles, a 70 M € project over 10 years that saw the first multi-pressure station with green hydrogen production by electrolysis inaugurated in February 2020, with a capacity of 50 cars.
A significant reduction of 145 grams of CO₂ per kilometer, achieved when compared to conventional cars, highlights a transformative leap towards cleaner and more environmentally responsible transportation technologies.
Our stations with electrolyzers allow the storage of renewable energies through the hydrogen energy vector. The solution possesses an equipment that extracts hydrogen from water using electricity (water electrolysis technology). The water molecule is split into oxygen and hydrogen, the hydrogen is recovered, compressed and safely stored into vessels. This hydrogen is then used to refuel vehicles (cars, special vehicles, trucks, etc.).
