Description

Pierre Fabre is an innovative and responsible group offering medicines and skin, hair, mouth and cancer care products. Its sustainable development policy is: Respect nature, reduce our footprint and support our communities while delivering safe and effective products. After a number of discussions and meetings, the customer chose the Soual site and the GLVT E1 as a pilot site. A measurement was carried out in June 2021. The technical visit was used to collect the technical data needed to size the controller and to collect the data needed to calculate the cost of the electrical installation. Once the measured data had been analysed, we submitted the savings report. We validated the sizing and layout with the customer and sent them our offer with ROI (supply, installation, commissioning, proof of savings and staff training). The customer accepted the offer. An Effi-Save 2000A voltage regulator was installed on 10/05/2022. Effienergy provided proof of savings and staff training.

Impact & Result

Since commissioning, savings have amounted to 7.5% of consumption. Savings are calculated in accordance with the VDE-AR-E 2055-1 standard. The annual saving for 2023 is 160,909 kWh. Reduction in annual CO2 emissions: 28,964 kg ROI: 4.5 years Following the good results, Effienegy equipped all the main LV boards at the Soual site (with the exception of one main LV board), as well as several other Pierre Fabre Group sites.

Solution Spotlight

Electrical voltage regulation is based on an extremely precise regulatory framework. The standard states that each energy supplier can deliver current with a voltage within +/-10% of the nominal voltage of 230V. All receivers have been designed to operate within this range without loss of performance. Effienergy always remains within the standard range. Energy savings are achieved on constant impedance receivers, ranging from 5 to 15% of the overall bill. The Effi-Save controller can be plugged into an existing or new installation. It is installed upstream of the electrical installation, so that it can act on all the receivers. All projects always start with a diagnostic that enables to calculate the savings and record the technical data. Voltage regulation is one of the few solutions that takes a global approach, i.e. acting on all electrical consumption. Voltage stabilisation increases the lifespan of receivers.
