Daan Tech, a company specializing in household appliances, relied on Holis to assess the environmental performance of its two flagship products: the Bob dishwasher and the Joe multicooker. Holis was involved throughout the entire conception process. Holis’ LCA experts worked closely with DaanTech’s multidisciplinary team to define environmental priorities. Through training sessions on eco-design and LCA, Holis helped DaanTech identify key environmental areas for improvement and successfully implement targeted eco-design strategies. This comprehensive and rigorous approach was recognized by the ADEME. Additionally, both Bob and Joe were analyzed using the Holis platform to compare them with competing technologies on the market. This process provided clear insights into their key advantages, helping guide strategic decision-making and maximizing their environmental value.
CO2 emissions were reduced by 22% for the flagship product and 27% for the product in development, corresponding to annual savings of 1,851 and 2,157 tons of CO2 equivalent, respectively. With France’s low-carbon mix, reductions in other indicators are even higher. Gains of 24% for marketed products and 26% for R&D were achieved, equivalent to the annual consumption of 955 and 2,157 Europeans. Improvements were validated by ADEME, and modeling time dropped from several hours to under one hour.

Furthermore, Holis streamlines project management and enhances collaboration with suppliers by collecting and centralizing data, tracking progress in real time, and aligning environmental goals across the value chain—fostering a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable approach.
