story image

Description

The Carrefour commercial area in Trans-en-Provence experienced significant energy costs due to the constant need to maintain a stable and comfortable temperature within their sales area, particularly in the face of fluctuating outdoor temperatures. To address this challenge, the store implemented a high-reflectance coating, which plays a crucial role in mitigating the issue of overheating. By reflecting a greater amount of solar radiation, this coating helps to reduce the amount of heat absorbed by the building, thereby significantly lowering the need for cooling systems and reducing overall energy consumption. This initiative has proven to be an effective solution for minimizing energy usage while maintaining a comfortable shopping environment for customers.

Impact & Result

In 2022, HVAC consumption dropped by 26%, even with the extreme heatwave that affected numerous regions. This accomplishment reflects our continued commitment to optimizing energy usage and adopting more efficient systems throughout our operations.

Our HVAC consumption decreased by 26% in 2022, despite the heatwave
