In Masdar City’s Eco Plaza, FortyGuard delivered an urban cooling breakthrough—blending deep-tech thermal analytics with nature-based and solar-integrated solutions. Our insights led to the deployment of green roofs, misting features, and reflective paving—all guided by 6M+ data points. Masdar implemented solar-powered misting systems and ambient lighting to enhance microclimate comfort while maintaining energy independence. Shade structures, turf conversions, and broadleaf tree placements were optimized using our granular temperature maps. Reflective, water-retentive materials and permeable surfaces were selected to lower surface heat, while artistic water features contributed to passive cooling. Every design element was informed by high-resolution urban heat data, resulting in a precisely orchestrated cooling ecosystem.
This project achieved up to 6°C in ambient cooling, transforming a heat-stressed plaza into a livable, vibrant space. It cut extreme heat days by 25%, reduced surface temps by 15°C, and boosted thermal comfort by 25%. Masdar saw 8% annual energy savings and a 10% rise in retail and property value. By turning data into design, FortyGuard proved cities can beat the heat—scalably, sustainably, and beautifully.
The Temperature Dashboard® offers high-resolution temperature data and advanced analytics, empowering users to manage urban heat effectively, regardless of expertise level. As the first product of its kind, it sets the gold standard in urban climate intelligence, combining cutting-edge analytics with actionable insights. Users can create tailored experiences by mapping areas as small as 100 square meters or entire cities, tracking temperature trends over time. AI-driven analysis provides detailed thermal condition breakdowns, while interactive maps and reports deliver real-time insights and cooling recommendations. This unique tool, featuring street and satellite views, ensures you always have access to the most relevant, customized temperature data, supporting smarter decisions for urban planning and climate resilience.
