Fairmont Singapore changed from using single-use gel and wick pots (sternos) to heat their buffets and started using EcoBurner and EcoServe instead. Fairmont Singapore’s success is attributed to their meticulous implementation of Standard Operating Procedures SOPs. They store EcoBurners and EcoServes in customised trolleys and have designated areas for proper storage and refilling

Globally most Chafing dishes are heated by a Ethanol or Methanol which then heat a water bath, which in turn keeps the food warm. Most commonly seen at a buffet type environment. EcoBurner and EcoServe are replacements for old fashioned chafing dishes. EcoBurner is a refillable gas powered fuel source that heats the EcoServe at its core is an aluminum plate that keeps food warmer for longer due to it being more thermally efficient than water). It can reduce CO2 by up to 70% and is waterless and delivers lower running running costs than traditional gel powered water based dishes that have been in use for over 100 years
