The Los Angeles pilot, launched a year ago in collaboration with USGBC California, Procter & Gamble, IKEA, Kohler Co., and Electrolux Group, monitored daily water and hot water usage per person in a test group of houses. The test group houses were retrofitted with fixtures and appliances from IKEA, Kohler Co., and Electrolux Group, as well as products from Procter & Gamble, all designed to save water and energy. Meanwhile, a control group of houses did not receive any products, appliances, or fixtures.
Preliminary and partial results have shown that after 7 months, the test group has reduced their total indoor water usage by 19% and their hot water usage by 11% compared to their previous consumption, and each by 24% compared to the control group. The overall intent of these pilots is to develop innovations in an integrated and holistic manner to create a path towards scaled.
Vendors & operators are unable to assess the performance, the need for maintenance and consumable replenishment of their water assets because they are offline today. This includes sanitary ware, filtration systems and appliances. Droople is building the Internet of Water based on IoT & AI connecting 100B+ assets to monitor them, predict their maintenance and enable water-energy savings for those operators and vendors via a hybrid business model based on hardware sales and software subscription plan. Droople's solution aims to reduce unplanned interventions, 24/7 monitoring of your assets in the field, increase your consumable sales and enable water-energy savings.
